Veneers
- A veneer is a thin envelop applied over the surface of the tooth.
- It is used to change the color, the shape, to close gaps between teeth or to rejuvenate the smile.
- Because we remove so little of the tooth, it is possible sometimes to treat without anesthesia.
- Can be done on one or many teeth.
- Veneers can be done using 2 different materials
Porcelain veneer:
- An impression is taken and sent to the lab that will create the veneer.
- Durable and resistant
Acrylic or composite resin
- Short term durability. Can change color over time. Needs to be polished or redone more or less every five years according to the dental hygiene, and other factors like tea, coffee, red wine, tobacco, etc…
